Publishing a non-fiction book today requires far more than simply writing well. Authors are increasingly expected to understand audience, positioning, platform, credibility, and commercial viability alongside the craft itself.
This WiPS panel brings together voices from publishing, psychology, leadership, and author entrepreneurship to explore what it really takes to move a non-fiction book from concept to market.
Whether you’re developing an idea, considering self-publishing, building a proposal, or trying to understand what agents and publishers are really looking for, this session offers an honest and practical look inside modern non-fiction publishing.
You’ll hear from:
Marysia Juszczakiewicz, literary agent and publisher with decades of international publishing experience
Dr Bee Lim, author and clinical psychologist, whose work explores trauma, identity, silence, and healing
Veronica Llorca-Smith, author, speaker, and founder of a global writing and creator community
Moderated by:
Imogen Short, storytelling strategist, fiction and non-fiction author, and moderator
Please note that a recording of the session will be available to registrants for 7 days after the event.
💸 Sales are final unless the event is cancelled, in which case a full refund will be issued.
🎁 Attending as a non-member? HK$50 will be refunded when you join WiPS (half-year membership is HK$300 till end of 2026) within one week of the session.
